All the better for some sun and a cuppa! Hoping the weather holds for the weekend, I'll be riding "Spring Into The Dales"

oh, Babar! <drags thread back off whisky>

We had a couple of Babar books, the one that always sticks in my mind was Babar's Fair - the elephants organised a sort of World Fair for all the animals, and the giraffe pavillion had a coffee bar complete with a high bar and tall bar stools - whenever I sit on a tall bar stool, I think of that picture.

I've just printed out a picture of Makka Pakka from In The Night Garden, to try and knit one. I'm not sure who it's for - Oli, or my sister - she seems to be rather fond of Makka Pakka, either that or sorry for him. He collects stones.

I now have enough cardboard boxes of various shapes and sizes in my garage to make a mountain. Does anyone know the latin for "collects boxes in case they are useful one day", along the lines of collector of pieces of string. (Which I do, but string takes up very little room, and is useful one day).

I have also found somewhere that will recycle those flimsy plastic mailing material. It gets a bit technical because you can only recycle the stuff that does not make a crinkly noise. I think I know what they mean.
