Tea sounds great. I am giving my old MTB bike a test ride today now I have fitted the new Chainset to it (Touring bike set). Just need new brake mechs now (Tiagra 90mm long reach from a touring bike will do the job ;))

The ISS was clearly visible again. I'm astounded I've not bothered to look for it before now.
Wasn't quite as bright as last night, as the sky was slightly hazy.

I set my phone to bleep at me to remind me to go and look at it.

However, I had some WarmShowers guests last night, and when it bleeped I was in the pub with them entertaining them and it seemed rude to leave.

Perhaps tonight...

We've been on the list for two or three years now. In that time we've only hosted twice, but they've both been rewarding experiences. As you can imagine, like-minded people find a lot to talk about.

We've never used it as guests, becuase there have never been any hosts along routes we wanted to travel. We did, though, enjoy several days of tdr1nka's hospitality at the Shedravan in Ireland last year, which is sort of similar-ish.

It is a good idea, and that's why we support it. I would recommend it - there need to be more people listed in Britain.

Last night's guests were cycle touring for the first time, and had been wild camping for two nights previously. They were quite glad of the shower and a chance to dry off their kit.

Afternoons!
Having a quick brew before some fettlage. My carbon uberbike is about to have a Shimano 105 transplant. After I've fitted myself with a Wagon Wheel. They're over there... *points*

How long ago was it that we could see the "orangey" planet? I seem to recall quite a few clear evenings when I could watch that.

Which reminds me

Twinkle twinkle little star

shouldn't it be Twinkle twinkle little planet?

No, if I remember rightly, planets don't twinkle, as they are close enough for there not to be clouds of dust in the way (which is what makes stars twinkle.)

Anyway, I've have noted the times down on a bit of paper, which I will now lose.

Tea anyone? I've bought a box of Sainsburys basics jaffa cakes, I notice the orangy bit contains 7% of something called 'orange juice equivalent'. Lord knows what that is.
