My Mum and her Step Mum went postal on a boat up the fjords.
I was incredibly jealous.

I can see why! Easy to get lost, though!

Woo hoo! My trike is back in one piece! Well, three, if you count the currently redundant front mech I took off, and the mudguard I couldn't be bothered with wrangling back into its bodged place. I got very oily, but had remembered to take some J-cloths, so was able to wipe my hands down before going out for a shakedown ride.

Then got oily all over again when the rear locked up half a mile down the road. I got it going again, not sure what the problem was, although I think it was only when I shifted up to top gear, so I stayed out of that, and the next one, to be safe for the rest of my pootle. So it currently has about 5 gears, half of which make a dreadful noise, and the back brake seems not to work. All in all a very successful morning! Still, it is now rideable, and Someone tea related has said he'll have a look at it when he has time...

I pootled to the caffe at Naburn, where I had a pot of tea, and the biggest wedge of lemon drizzle cake I've ever seen.

And all this, on top of the 64.45 miles I rode yesterday with Uncle Phil! Thats my 2nd longest upright ride ever, and third longest ever ever. Damn it, I'm going to get this century.

And while I was out, my sister rang, to say the decking in their garden isn't quite finished and the new steps aren't done, so not to wear any very high heels when I go down next week. I assured her that I still don't own any very high heels..

Anyone about for Tea?

I've got a coffee at the mo, but a huge slice of lemon cake would bu LUVVLY!

Here...

<delivers cake with fork lift truck>

It was a really big slice - and a bit on the stodgy side, so I dread to think how many calories.....

It was nice to see the bike path pretty busy, with lots of people obviously out for a nice weather pootle.
