'noon The Arch! How's York? Booked some good weather for us at the weekend?

Shush, don't shout about it, but the forecast isn't awful...

I trust the Sheffield end of your operation didn't get innundated yesterday? Sheffield seems to be turning into a flood hotspot. Look out for a lot of new businesses building floating zoos out of gopherwood soon....

Are you still on form Speicher? (A mere bag a te L)

Not that I'm aware of. The new buildings have built-in flood defenses.
Though I did get messages from Mrs Landslide to the effect that the apocalyse had arrived!

Sheffield does seem to have been hit for the last 2 or 3 years, doesn't it? I wonder if the area as a whole has had more torrential rain, or if perhaps some threash-hold of tarmacing over of land has occurred that's has caused worse run-off.

Anyway York is, currently, not under water. Although I didn't have any riverside path planned in anyway....

Art'noon.
On the subject of the London Underground, the strike hasn't effected me at all!
Although I do plan to visit my Mum on Sunday and no doubt there will be vital engineering works which tbh are more disruptive than any strike.;)

Tea up!

Hoorah. I have leftover curry in my bag, I couldn't remember whether I'd have time to go home again before meeting the Amsterdame crew this evening. Turns out, I do, so I'll take the curry home again...

Eating in the curry house last night, one of the guys noticed a lot of men's neckwear hanging on a coat rack, and mused that maybe they have a dress code on some nights. I said maybe, or maybe this is actually a Tie Restaurant, not Indian...

Hey Arch, how are you feeling about next week?
I'm a bit nervous about this coming Saturday.;)

I'm not really thinking about it. I'm thinking more about not getting a bunch of folk lost this Saturday, and York Rally next weekend. Does something happen in between? Oh yeah... Nothing planned in the celebration line, might buy myself a cream bun and a chinese takeaway.

Anyway, it can't be true, there's been some mistake. I can't be that age. I haven't worked out what I want to do when I grow up yet...

Me too:cry:;)!

My day will be spent taking Miss Tdr1nka to the Sylvanian Families shop and then tea and cake with friends at my local coffee house tea rooms.
Nice and gently does it!

There's a Sylvanian Familes SHOP?

My god, that's a lot of twee....

I suppose I get my big party next weekend at York Rally - I get to stay on our stand most of the time and most people I know come by at some stage...

Afternoon all! Thought I'd just pop in quickly before I head home to pick up my things for Amsterdam then over to York. I'm praying I haven't forgotten anything...

(Lucky I mentioned it to Spandex last night, I'd got it in my head it was tomorrow night...)

It's a tiny shop in a back street in Finsbury Park.
Though it might make a fun afternoon trip to tire Miss Tdr1nka out and get her something(with her pocket money)and then she can play while I greet my friends & admirers and drink tea!;)

Sorry I can't be in York to see you but I'll think of you as I 'Dr. Bike' with Hilldodger in Woolwich. The gig is in the grounds of the Arsenal where my Grandfather served during WWII and I've not been there before.

You'll have to make the effort next year. Or before then, of course.

I'm not sure if it's my impending age that's driven me into this mania of more regular long bike rides, but I've decided (unless it's horrible weather) to cycle to our next Craft Club get together, which will be the 22nd, and hence maximum daylight for the return. So I will be riding for an hour and a half, to go and knit for 2 hours, and then ride an hour and a half back.... Partly as a challenge and partly because I know everyone else will think I am mad to do it.

Better make sure all my rear lights are well charged up, mind, it'll be twilight by the end of the return trip...

Right, better get off home and eat my leftover curry, before heading out to see the girls off to Amsterdam....
