I did read about your splinter on Stoatsandgroats chopped finger thread.

Is it better now?

My days off?

A friend said a couple of years ago that he wanted to ride coast to coast over a couple of days, from Morecambe to Scarborough.

What he meant to say was that he wanted to ride Coast to Coast to Coast over a couple of days. So I'm going along with him and I'll get to kick my dog and fit in some niece tickling on the way too.

Should be nice if the weathers ok and we get to Scarborough in time for some beer before bed.

Yes, the finger is better now, it was a long time ago that happened.

I had a lovely week's holiday in Scarborough once. Then about two days, after I left that big hotel fell into the sea. xx(

I am sure you will find a pub that stays open late in Scarborough at this time of year. How far is it C2C2C? Perhaps Aperitif would like to join you for the day?:biggrin::laugh:

Coffee and walnut cake for anyone? It is home-made, not by me :biggrin:.
Home-made by a member of the WI, extremely delicious, and I could not possibly eat it all myself could I? or could I? (could put half in the freezer, if no-one wants any). As if?

Also remotely on the cards is adopting another stray cat, found in someone's garden, who has a dog. It depends whether my two current owners agree with that decision I suppose.

I could do that. Then I would need to know how to re-home it, if it did not get on with my present encumbents. Or I could foster it until the owners turned up. I think the current plan is to try and find out a bit more. And/or take it to the vet to see if it is micro-chipped.

Are you sharing it with anyone else, asks I cheekily?:sad::smile:

No, not the ice-cream, if that's what you meant!

Does your current girlfriend reside in the same country as you?
BTW have you started thinking about your birthday next year?

The track record, as it were, of Cycle Chatters organising dates, is, shall we say, not a good one. If you start thinking about it now, that gives you about six months. This includes the four months holiday you normally have - on the other side of the world.

Yes, and not only that, she lives about 2-3 miles away. Bloody big hill to get there though.

Yes, birthday next year (again!) but not in terms of age, but as in celebration of.

Yep, still planning being away in the warmer climes for four months!
