Afternoons!
Just been fettling a bike for tonight's ride to Brighton from That London.
I was appalled to discover that you can buy energy gel with caffienne in.
I have two packs...
Wish me luck, as I may well need it. Especially for Ditchling beacon.

I'm appalled that you're using energy gel. Tea, cheese sandwiches and tiffin should be enough for any man. With Kendal mint cake if you really must (and I wouldn't personally...)

Anyway, have fun. I think it's meant to be fun anyway...

Might get out for a bit of a ride tomorrow, might not. Mum probably visiting on Sunday, so I better do some tidying.

At least it's cooled down here, we had a biblical torrent mid morning and now it's cool enough for me to be glad I brought my jacket. It was so hot yesterday evening, and I made curry, and then had to lie on the bed sweating helplessly in my undies...

Sorry, is that TMI?

Evenings!!
Just cooking up The Mother of All Pasta dishes as a bit of last-minute carbo-loading.
A sort of Fusili-and-contents-of-the-fridge Carbonara.

Thank you for the tea.

:bereft:

Trying to cheer myself up by fixing the new stoker stem to the tandem for me and Miss tdr1nka but everything different sizes and I'm now having to resort to making shims from a cat food can.
La la la la la la-laaaah

Why can't people keep their bloody hands off other peoples stuff? Think I will get my bikes tagged. Dam the evil beings, hope they fall off it and do themselves an injury.

Oh mate, that's feckin' awful.
Bastards. Utter bastards. I'd echo Gromit's thoughts, except to extend the definition of injury to include falling in rivers and drowning.
Was it insured?

Evening - don't usually pop by the tea thread as I'm a hopeless 'Chainy' but I saw the post about tdr1nka's bike being pinched. What's the matter with these scumbags? I haven't had a bike nicked for about 30 odd years but it still makes me cross - tossers!!!

Realise there's not much chance of it but I hope you get it back..
