Got any cream cakes? I'm starving

This is a cycling forum. Don't you know we're perfectly honed athletes who wouldn't dream of eating cream cakes?

Just heard about tdr1nka's bike.

What can I say? Bastards!

I had a bike nicked in 1988, and I've never got over it. I've never had a frame that fitted me as well as that one did, and they don't make 'em any more.

Bastards.

D'ya think it was the same Bastards?;)

Just got in from doing a morning cycle history session with Hilldodger at a school local to me.
The Clarty Hack is trying it's very best but being an old Trek MTB and not my beloved Oadrat it just isn't inspiring me much at all.

Off for lunch now, to get fed up a different way.

Just read a warning in my local paper about bike theft. Apparently 15 have been stolen in about two weeks:sad:. Maybe it's the hot weather bringing them out.

Aw Tdr1nka, just read about the Roadra, what a bummer.

I have a few ideas for bike thieves, they involve a soundproofed shipping container fitted with manacles and range of power tools...

Now, earlier on, it was chucking it down, so I opted for a lift out to knitting night. Now, the sun's come out. I have until 5.30 to make the final decision (that would be when I had to leave to ride out).

The annoyance, of course, would be if it was nice riding out, but then came on to chuck it down again when I had to come home. It's a bit of a gamble.

Also, I have got one pannier entirely loaded with knitting books, to show one of my friends some patterns. So it's not a lightweight trip...

'ere, Doc.

Thanks again for the wellgo clipless.
Were it not for them I would have had to ride in 'normal shoes' again.:biggrin:

Heh, you're welcome. I thought they may have been on the late lamented...
I take it you didn't go to Brick Lane on a hunt for return and retribution?

Morning all!

Back down to earth with a bump (office , Roadrat getting abducted :o)after a great weekend with the "in-laws".
Sunday was spent on the "Meres and Mosses" audax, following large amounts of North Shropshire's cycle routes. 'Twas Mrs Landslide's first audax, and she sped round the 110km in 6 hours including cake stops!
