The Pinnacle does look the better option, I've heard good things about them.
Evan's do have a 2007 edition in the XL size for £399, but they can't find which store it's at.

I admit that the Carrera's are tempting at the price, I just don't think I'm ready to go back to Halfords for a bit.
I'd certainly try one of the Boardman bikes but they're a bit out of my price range ATM.

The raindrops are very tiny now and the sun is making a valiant attempt to come out

Blue sky and sunshine here. I will send you some, by first class post!

In these days of every being computerised, it should be easy. Perhaps the man who knows how to press the right buttons on the puter, will be in on Monday.

OK I got the Pinnacle Sentinel 2009.

Only ridden it back from London Bridge so far to get it home, the clipless pedals are now in place and all the reflectors(except the rear), stickers, et al, have been removed.
Bye bye bell as it didn't work anyway.

The Pinnacle is a lot lighter than other bikes I've had and it rides well. It came from the shop with tiny pedals with toe clips that are near impossible to flip into position so I didn't thrash it too hard on the way home.
I'm about to get the camel back filled up and to take 'The Sentinal' for a bit of a work out.

The only real downside is the white bar tape.
I only tend to wear black because I'm a bit of a muck magnate, white t-shirts last me about 10 mins before I've got some sort of dirt on them.

The bar tape is soiled already.

Insurance and a decent D-Lock this week.
Thankfully there is nowhere I will need to lock it up and leave it this week.

It's a very nice bike BTW.
Getting used to it and terrified of somehow smashing or cracking the forks!
The only carbon I've ever had on a bike was fag ash!

Really enjoying the double, coasting up to speed on the small ring, slip up to the big ring for hyperdrive!

Now I'm going to try my most regular hill and see what these compact sets are all about.

Back in a bit......

I need a cup of tea today, not been one of my better days. Anyone like to make me one please?
