 Really. Ladies.

I was likened to Hugh Laurie today as well.

To set things straight I believe I am still, in essence, me.

Miss tdr1nka is at last in bed.
My Lady is out with friends.

What's missing?

TEA!

Oh yes, tea would be good. And considering all the compliments you've been getting, I think you should make we ladies a cuppa!

Having been likened, in the past, to Fred Gwynn(Herman Munster)and better still, Jimmy Nail(by my own Brother!)one learns to take the compliments where one can.

It's a hard life.

*hands out tea to all assembled*

I used to be told that I looked like David Essex.

Don't forget the cake, specially made my me today. I tried a different flour, light wholemeal self-raising, and the cake is  .... was much lighter than usual, but darker as well.

I think I've had enough confection today, two Bakewell tarts and loads of chocolate covered cornflake cakes.

T'was a righteous picnic.
Apart from Miss T's tumble and being eaten alive by mozzies.

I did have a strange couple of Summers when I played or worked at various festivals around the south of England.

One day, at a Brighton festival, I think, I was greeted in a beer tent by a group of friendly drunks who mistook me for someone they knew.

A brief conversation assured them that I wasn't the friend in question but they all stood agog and went very quiet, only muttering about how I was the spit of this friend and I must be a twin.

So taken with this likeness they offered to buy me a drink and enjoyed a pleasant half hour while more of their friends arrived, instantly mistook me for the 'other' friend while those 'in the know';)stood around p*ssing themselves laughing.

A most enjoyable encounter that was then repeated with the same group at four other festivals over the years!

Morning!

Animals seen to. Husband up and about as he wants to get the new hen run finished today. The Laydeez will be grateful. I'm nibbling breakfast of a cuppa with a slice of homemade bread (50/50 whole Kamut, very strong white flour) and have decided that Kamut flour is quite delicious in taste, texture and look.
