Oh, is that him, on the bike with 50 Tesco bags hanging from the handlebars...?

Just getting ready for bed and I remembered this morning's silly wacky dream.

I was trying to get difficult and unruly teenagers into rollercoaster cars for their ride, each had to be 'encouraged' to sit properly, get strapped in and told to behave.

The snag was that the rollercoaster was the gravity slate railway in Snowdonia, the one where the loaded trucks roll down the hill pulling a cable that hauls the empties back up to the top and the teenagers were baby elephants!

I forced myself up and awake before the dream reached its conclusion, so the elephants never got their ride, and that is probably why I felt so rough today.
I don't know if I should keep forcing myself awake or just let the dreams run their course so I can get up feeling alive.

How do you managed to wake yourself from you dreams? It doesn't even occur to my dream-self that it *is* a dream, let alone that I could end it...

Anyway, I've read that letting your dream follow its path is better for you than ending it, which makes sense if you subscribe to the notions of brains being nothing more than mental farts.

The dreams occur in that half asleep state when I am trying to wake and very groggy, like when the alarm goes off and for a moment you don't know where you are and what the noise is. I am aware that I am awake and dreaming but trying to get up is very difficult and I can't control the dream. It is a bit like knowingly watching myself in the dream knowing it is unreal.
I had to thrash my way out of the dream just to sit up and try to wake.

You do know that Arch will be going to bed tonight hoping to dream of baby elefants on a rollercoaster, don't you? :giggle:

Seems to have been a lot of eggcitement in here tonight, anybody want a mini egg? :mrpig:
Day 2 of my 2nd week of dieting, gone well this week though I have just had a mince pie for supper, but it was allowed as I had plenty of calories left, and as Lisa says it is 'housekeeping'
No tea tonight, but might have a glass of water before bed
