It should have been Simpson not Simpon . Someone had written out an explication of it, showing the equation. He was trying to explain that It is not necessarily just the number of diverse plants (in this case) but the fact that one plant does not dominate, I think.

Correct about the mouse, except those mice do not taste very nice at all.

The mind boggles as to why recycling in York brings up the question of the translation of pressure cooker into German.

We emptied a box that contained a number of small cookery books and pamphlets, and the German Pressure cooker cookbook was in there.

There was also a copy of "Cream through the Seasons".

This was from the same street that a Countess lives in.

I see that Admin has taken advantage of the biskit tin. ;)^_^

First the good news. Tashas the cat has lost a pound in weight. Last November she was given a target to lose a kilo over twelve months. She has lost half a kilo, which is 8% of her body weight in two months. :highfive:. I just wish I could do the same. Er well, perhap 12% in my case, but you get my drift.

The bad news - long story short. Later today there will be an "exchange" of strong views by some people I know. The repercussions could be, let's say, rather sad. I am hoping that sense prevails, but someone is adhering to their principles. :stop: The fact that they may not have principles to which they can adhere, is probably alledgedly beside the point.

Do you agree that the most immediate solution is Tea?

I knew it was all just a diversion :headshake:

Perhaps you should pass the secret on to potsy :giggle:

Tea? the new hot solution? :cuppa:

Phil, yes, you are correct. Tasha has some special biskits for overweight cats. I have put some in a tin specially labelled for Potsy's exclusive use.

I have not tasted one, but they obviously work! The vet was very pleased with Tasha's progress.

Would you like a mature cheddar and chive rice cake then, Potsy? They are nicer than they sound, not like the very plain ones similar to small bricks, and not as sweet as Snacky Jacks or whatever they are called.

Did someone say bikits? And can I interest anyone in a brew? :cuppa:

Yes please!

I've just stopped for lunch, on my first unemployed Thursday. So far I have: cycled to Bike Rescue to see if they had any used tyres for me to collect (they didn't, but should have next week), cycled back into town and been to pay a cheque in the bank, and do some shopping, come home and processed 7 tyres I already had in (in 75 minutes - just over 10 mins a tyre, not too bad, to strip out the bead and trim both sidewalls from the tread).

This afternoon I will clean an old chain to dismantle, and put together some keyrings, and possibly mess about cutting up some coloured plastic bottles to prototype decorative material for an upcoming art project.

:heat:

Ah....:cuppa:
