Mornings. I would have switched on the laptop yesterday if I'd known there were scones. :hungry:

It's gearing up to be a lousy week, GP's putting me on new medication so am in the process of weaning myself off the old ones first. It's all a bit  in Cake Towers.

Lots of :cuppa: on the go if anyone wants one. It's also snowing in a pathetic melts-as-it-hits-the-ground sort of a way. Perfect conditions for snuggling up on the sofa with the dog. :hugs:

I suggest you take it easy this week, if you are changing your meds. I know what  feels like.

Unfortunately there is now only one scone left. That is my mistake, I did not make enough.

It is :sun: and :cold: here with clear blue skies.

I think the cat needs to be put out into the cold

One of my mother's friends, who is also a computer novice, has just poked me on facebook. It's all rather disturbing, I've never heard of him before. What's even more disturbing is that she has now figured out how to upload photos. I'm really hoping that she doesn't get round to scanning my baby photos

Speicher, it sounds like you need to make more scones...

I have been threatening to put some old pics of my sister on FB, she's not impressed :giggle:

I am going out in the cold very soon, with my sunglasses on as it's very :sun: here but :cold:

ps- save me a scone if you make another batch wol(ly) :mrpig:

Scones, definitely scones. Or apple crumble.

Or both?

Or, Or... Cobbler! That has a topping made of scones, but fulfills the proper pudding remit.

I've spent the morning cutting up plastic bottles, and dismantling umbrellas (which is actually a bloody minded thing more than a useful one, for the amount of scrap, once I've had the cloth off.

Yesterday, I made a bag, and I'm rather proud of it. I even carried it out to a meal out last night to show off , it felt very odd carrying a handbag! It's still a prototype, and we've already worked out how to make the manufature easier and neater.

I'm off to Bike Rescue in a bit, to tell them I'll have any tubes they are getting rid of!

My GP, a couple of weeks ago, suggested I change my migraine meds from night to morning. After doing the transition phase for a couple of days I completely forgot to take the dose in the morning for a few days running.
I slept better, I have been getting up earlier in the morning, I have been feeling more refreshed and alive, I can think more clearly and my feet don't hurt noticably when walking.
I haven't taken any more of the meds and I have only had one mild headache stopped by a dose of paracetamol and an hour or so asleep.

Hmmm, can I have my job back please?^_^

Never really took you for a bag lady!:giggle:

Have you thought of inflating the tubes? Good for carrying fragile , errr, whatever it is stuff that women carry.

I'm glad to hear that. I suppose you have to weigh up the odds and decide if the risk and disturbance of migraine is greater than the day to day lethargy. I think I'd cope better with feeling mostly fine, but then I've never had migraine, so I can't imagine how awful they can be.

If you imagine massive floodlights shone in your eyes, people shouting in your ears, someone clubbing you on the side of your head and having the mother of all hangovers on top...
That's sort of what it is like for about three days running.

I think the staples might compromise the inflation potential! ;)

As for what I carried in it last night - nothing! I'm far too used to having my stuff in my pockets, I feel insecure if they are in a bag I can forget. It was handy though for when I got to the restaurant, and hung it on the back of my chair, and put my hat, gloves and scarf in it!

A really posh version would be sewn, not stapled. But the staples, if neatly done, add a certain industrial chic perhaps?

It's lined, to keep small items from going through the weave. The lining is the old umbrella cloth!

Hmm, yes that sounds pretty awful. I guess it's down to how frequent they are, and if you'd rather cope with that for three days everyso often, in order to feel good the rest of the time. :hugs:

The Resource Exchange (aka Scrapstore) (:giggle:) have made something similar using wide braid. The top row could then be sewn. Occasionnally the wide braid comes up cheaply on Ebay.
The look very good. LIke you I do not carry a handbag. My keys, hankie and purse fit in my pockets.
