Can we start saying 'it's too hot' yet? :heat:

I was saying that on Tuesday!

:heat:

Today has been very very busy. There were posters to deliver, then a large coffee to be drunk and a croissant to eat, then we had to go all the way up to Micklegate to the pop up shop to do a stocktake for St Nicks, then all the way back into town to M and S and Mr £andwich to get some lunch, and then we had to sit in the shade by the river to eat lunch, and watch geese with goslets, and then we had to find some ice-cream (or sorbet for NT) and eat that, and that was hard work, I can tell you, it was an enormous couple of scoops.

We needed a siesta when we got back. In an hour or so, I'll have to start cooking lasagne!:hungry:

Reckon we might go out on our bikes tomorrow. :cycle:

I has fettled the brompton, and the SS, and the dodgy Chinese folder. I really need a 400mm long 25mm seatpost for that - the 300mm one is about 25mm short or so. I also swapped the back wheel round on the fixie, so that's an SS at the moment too. My knees aren't used to fixed yet.
I have also maded some summer pudding, and some burgers, and later on I shall be firing up the barbie and fettling some Pimms. Or G&T. Or both.
I did get out on my bike - for a mighty 4 miles. Yay me.

The Christmas dinner and prospective Christmas dinners were very cute.

Later we watched the developing 'soap opera' that was Geese families trying to get into the River down a slip where a family from hell' were hogging the shore line and honking and attacking the other Geese families as they tried to get in and out of the water.

So hot:heat:, needed a siesta when we got back in.

Who'da thunk it, NT wants another winch....

Of course, if he finds one, we'll have to ride back into town to leave it in the car, and then all the way out again to Elvington!

Go for a long walk off a short pier, that'll cool you down! ;)

We've just had lasagne, and can barely move. No, to be honest, NT is moving, he's nobly doing the washing up. After that, I think immobility will be the order of the evening. :tired:

With probable :cuppa:
