<Arch suddenly wonders if she's going to be test pilot...

>
What with your family's reputation for crashing expensive things.
If Arch gets the tractor airborne I will be impressed!
I found this photo in my AEC Matador book and thought 'That will never get off the ground!'
The tractor is back together.
This morning I bought some gasket paper and sealer and put the transaxle back together. While the sealer was curing I got on with the other jobs of the day.
My neighbour and I finished building the stone wall outside my house. This was only putting back five stones but they were huge and heavy and just about liftable between us.
I also took apart my trailer wheel bearings, again, and cleaned and polished all the bits and refitted them with fresh grease. They will have to survive for a bit longer until I can get (affordable) replacements.
Then this evening I brought the transaxle back up from the workshop to the tractor and refitted it. The whole job is so much easier then, say, changing the clutch on a car.
The tractor is now ready to test, except that it has rained this evening and is forecast for a day of rain tomorrow. Arch may well be test driver on Friday.
