You are correct NT, I am not able to remember people doing that.

I did think, briefly, about cleaning the patio when it is :rain: to save water. But I could use the rainwater from the water butt, so doing it in the rain would be taking things a bit far, perhaps.

I tried washing the car in the rain once, for the same reason. Didn't work. The car didn't get wet enough and I got too wet, and cold, and miserable, and my then wife laughed!:headshake:

*cough cough*

It is not funny now, 2nd day on the trot I have nipped out on the bike and less than 2 minutes later the heavens have opened :rain: soaked now, but at least the bike shop had the part I needed in stock

Oh, and who's the stranger that's just walked in

As it is not too hot, and not raining, I have had a go at cleaning the patio. With the tap for the hose turned nearly fully round, and the spray thingy turned to "jet", I think I got a lot of dirt loosened. Then with it on a softer spray, I sort of swept the dirty water towards the drainage channel that runs along the edge of the patio. I will see what it looks like when it is dry.

That's a nasty cough you have there, Potsy.

* grabs remainder of choccy biskits from Potsy *

Let me look after them for you if they are causing you to choke. You do know, don't you, that you are supposed to take bites out of biskits, not scoff them in one piece.
Maybe that's how girls eat them, I have a different technique :mrpig:

Have you seen a first class large stamp recently Arch? Does the one of York show the block of flats you live in?

No, I just checked. I'm almost exactly the other side of the Minster in that view.

I'm :tired:.

Need a refreshing :cuppa:, then a think about dinner. We had pizza at lunchtime, so I really shouldn't need a full dinner, but I've got a portion of pasta sauce ready in the fridge and it would be so easy to cook...

Spent the last hour of the working day standing on top of the paper skip trying to fettle the winch which is a bit sticky. Failed to produce any improvement, but at least we did get all the bits back in after they fell out. Probably in the right places.

<listens for cartoon hurrying-scuttling noise of NT having scented a winch in distress>

Sorry about your back Gromit, I hope you free up soon. Have you tried a WD40 rub?

No not tried WD40 rub, I think I need one of those rack things to straiten my back out, I'm bent double like an old lady. Got some nice pain killers from the doctors. It will be a week or so before it gets better.
