The NHS Direct nurse will call me back after a 4 hour wait as they are busy and I am not in immediate need of assistance.
I think my calf muscle has taken a vacation. No walking, cycling or driving as my left foot doesn't move without pain and I can't put weight on it.

Sorry Arch, I am trying not to be in hospital, again, for your birthday.^_^

I have been advised to rest it, elevate it and take some pain killers.

Just brewed a :cuppa:

Oh dear.....

Your leg that is, not the :cuppa:

Rest it as much as you can. A nuisance that I have to be here this weekend, and can't come over and wait on you hand and (sore) foot. See how it is by Friday I suppose.

I guess I would rather not spend my birthday at Salford Royal again, if you can manage it ;)

Sorry I missed this earlier.

Morning just got back from the Doc's, managed to do something to my back yesterday just reaching for a pen. Now I'm walking around like a little old lady. I been given some painkillers and told to keep moving. No heavy lifting for a while. It just keeps going into spasm.

Took me ages to walk to and from the doctors. Feeling a bit:B)
Oh no! That is so painful and frustrating. I've been there and know what it is like, no indications of any ailment but any movement or even lifting a biscuit to go with the tea is potential agony.
:hugs:

I prescribe wafers - lighter and easier to lift....

Big Hugs for everyone under the weather. It's just not fair.

Just back from an all nighter at A&E.

Suspected ruptured achillies tendon. The doc said it all sounds and feels like a rupture but they couldn't find it even with ultrasound so I am in a short cast with an appointment to return to the fracture clinic for 10.30 for a better look.

Just time for a :cuppa: and a short sleep. :tired:

My first ever cast.

Ooh, co-codomol. I had that once for a borked ankle. I was high on it that I ended up falling down the stairs and make everything a whole lot worse.

Hope all is going well at the hoppytal, NT. :hugs:

Time for one last :cuppa: and then it's off out into the downpour I go.
