Tea would be nice, Arch.
I thought about having a play with the KMX this afternoon but the snow would have been more then seat height. I might have a go tomorrow when it has compacted a bit.

I've been outside clearing up more snow, less to do tomorrow.
I couldn't get my gates open as the ground had swelled and was catching the bottom of the gates. Took a lot of chopping and hacking with digging spade to lower the ground level an inch or so.

Oh, and the best bit, I nearly forgot. Turning the trike up a terraced side street to see, at the top, a vehicle wedged across the road, front wheels in the gutter, out of sight, rear wheels spinning helplessly on the packed snow just one side of the peak of the camber, trying to reverse to complete a 3 point turn.

We might have gone to help, but... if a 4x4 can't get itself out of a suburban gutter, it deserves to sit there. (although it would have been fun to offer to tow it out with a tricycle!) Anyway, we had work to get on with, and probably couldn't have done anything without laughing...

We'll shovel some snow for an old lady later in the week to make up for being bad.;)

OOOH.... you've got the perfect scenario to wind-up a certain denizen of CC in P&L

I've posted the story in Mr Paul's Snow thread in Commuting - a certain person had already posted something smug about being a 4x4 owner and lording it over 2WD owners.

I was talking to a fellow teacher today at college about people not knowing how to drive their cars, particularly 4x4s in snow and ice. He told me of another teacher who went out in his Land Rover to pick his kid up from school as the school was closed. Ended up with the Land Rover stuffed in a ditch.

I was tailgated by a Series 1 Land Rover on the motorway this morning. I was thinking, 'You may be able to get going better then me but I can stop better then you as I have ABS!'.

I had no problems with my front wheel drive today, except not being able to get back on my driveway with out a bit of a push.

Just run in out of the snow to wish everyone a Happy New Year.... been off doing other things so not logged in for months. How's everyone?.... Off back to the office [walking- who needs cars anyway!]

Tea, with the last piece of Crimbo cake anyone... ?

ah wow Helen - excellent - we'll expect ride reports- when are you going?

I hoping to set off in May. Definitely planning to do a journal on Crazyguyonabike so you'll all be able to follow my trials and tribulations (and fun of course!).

I have to give four months notice at work. It always seems to take ages to replace people so I wanted to give them as much notice as possible anyway.
