None-time-of-day-dependant greetings!!!
I can confirm that volcanoes are hot and rather smelly. There was a huuuuuuge amount of gas coming out of various vents, lots of sulphur, boiling mud etc and a crater lake that was a rather bilious shade of green. The water was around 50C, which would have been a bit warm for comfort. It also had a ph of about 0 - so very very acidic. Not a good place for a swim, but quite handy for disposing of anyone you didn't like.

Pick up any pyroclasts?

Hold on - pH of 0 would burn absolutely anything, IIRC. Sure that is what you meant? That's better than concentrated sulphuric acid!! Impressive.

Mornings!

Aye, Doc, don't go for a plodge in a volcanic lake, it's not good for you. It's definitely not 50C in the environs of Chateau Wafflycat. It's snowing again (lightly) and it's lying as it's falling on to compacted snow which has turned to ice. I've seen to the hens and Anode has given me a lovely egg in return (glorious terracotta brown shell). The wild birds have had their food supplies topped up too. The cats continue to go stir-crazy indoors. I've got more painting to do.

Morning all, not due into college till 1.20pm so I'm writing an essay on Taxonomy. Hopefully it will stop snowing by then.

Cleared a few inches of snow from my car this morning however think I will have to do it again later because its still coming down.

Proof, as if it were needed, that west Worcestershire is behind the times. We now have our first snowfall.. Just because the rest of the country is bored with the snow, you did not need to send it over here.

I was planning to go out and choose a new washing machine. Been without one for nearly three weeks now. As written in the other thread about this, someone injured them selves on the ice, and is unable to send out spare parts, anyway, I caused further damage to the machine, trying to get the broken bit out.:laugh:.

Can anyone lend me an old mangle, to wring clothes out properly?

Yes, Tea please, thank you.
