Has it stopped raining yet? We've had a really lovely day down here in London. I've spent the afternoon mowing my mother's lawn and digging up roots of old plants........proper work

Nope. Not yet. I should have been over at my Aunt's mowing the lawn and digging things up, but it's too wet. She has about a foot of water in the garage apparently. Sorting that will be a little job for next week then.

It could indeed be worse. I just watched half of 'Judge Dredd' - the old film with Stallone in it.
It's feckin' crap!
It was actually physically painful to watch one of my favourite comic-book heroes being trashed.
And I sat there, and watched it. That's 3/4 of an hour I won't get back...

Morning all, anyone?

Just had an interesting experience......our bedroom is in the loft and the water is pumped up there by a vacuum operated pump, a floor below. It's been playing up lately and the only way to activate it is by unscrewing the shower head and sucking on the pipe. This morning at 6.00am, bleary eyed I was summoned by Mrs R to get the taps working and have ended up being drenched from head to foot in cold water. Did I get any sympathy? Only huge guffaws of laughter. I know you all will be much more sympathetic......
