With a lot of faffing and chopping and changing I finally found a good wheel that fits the back of Emily. It happens to be the one that came with the trike I got. It is an 8 speed instead of the worn 7 speed but all the gears do select on the friction shifter.
Her rear brakes took a bit of messing with to get working right, as they are knackered too, but it manages to lock the rear tyre so can't ask for better then that really. Her front brake is scary sharp!
Do you think she looks too bling with that red rim?

She should be faster too!
I aired up her tyres and added a QR bolt to her seat post clamp. I then dropped her seat about 3/4" and that feels a bit more comfortable. Emily can really do with a full set of new cables and some undamaged bar grips. And also a more comfy saddle!
I also brought Granville out and gave him a quick going over. His chain was desperately in need of some lube and his tyres needed some air.
I thought about taking Granville tomorrow but his front wheel is a bit draggy and the brake not very effective. Rear seems fine. I think I will need to take the front drum apart and see if it is all free and aligned properly. That is a bigger job so for another day.
