Good news! Good news!

:wahhey:I'm finally going to get paid by Greenwich Council for the work I did last July!!

And not a moment too soon either, I can now afford new wheels(I'm thinking of these?)for the Sentinel to replace the cheese ones that I've ridden to death the last half year! I might treat myself to some better shoes as well.

Tea and hugs all round, even for Maggot!

Good news tdr1nka! FWIW, WCMnr has a set of Campag Scirocco wheels (had them for years) and they are lovely things. Have been tough as old boots on the bumpy, pot-holed- gravel strewn, flint infested roads of Norfolk. He even had an AOT event in Cologne (not in Norfolk) when the from wheel got stuck in a tramline and WCMnr was thrown over the handlebars, but the wheel stayed true.

Looks like I missed all the fun last night!

Anyone got the kettle on? I could do with a cuppa.

I'm heading off on my hols for a week tonight:smile:. I'm off down to Cornwall to do some volunteering with the National Trust. Apparently we will be massacring sycamores. The flask is packed ready to take a warming brew to the worksite every day. I can't wait!

Thanks all for the tips on wheels.;)

I think I'm going to hedge my bets and go for the Shimano RS20 rear and save some cash. My front wheel is fine and I don't really need to replace it.

Although I only had my last RS20 on Roadra a week before she was stolen I was very impressed with how the wheel held up to the 'bombed airstrip' roads in South London.

I'll save for the Mavic Open Pros for when I've saved for the next Roadrat frame.

Tea a cornicopia of tea!

What, ten past one hundred and eighty!

Mmm, just had chips for supper, I wasn't going to, then one of my colleagues mentioned chips mid afternoon and I couldn't get the idea out of my head....

Ready for another tea now. We spent the latter part of the day trying to knock up a plastic bottle squishing device out of some old timber, but the best results still come from stamping on each one - something people are meant to do for us... We're thinking of issuing some stickers of MP's faces to stick on the bottles, see if that encourages them.

Don't panic because it's 10-speed compatible!!!
All new Shimano hubs are 8/9/10 speed compatible, and 7 speed with a £3 spacer.
If you're stuck I can lend you a wheel - just true it up for me once you're done with it.
*can't true wheels*
