But some poeple just can't stand eggs. My friend's husband is one. He can tolerate egg in things, but just an egg makes him queasy. A duck egg will tip him over the edge.

Although I like eggs, I can understand it - an egg is quite rich.

Indeed this is true.

But there is still a world of difference in taste and texture between any shop-bought egg and an egg fresh from the hen that morning.

'Twas a lovely day. the rounds were done by early afternoon so we finished off the compost bins, a great afternoon to be outside. Then we opened the bottle of blackberry wine we found a couple of weeks back. Very nice. My ride home was a sinuous effortless glide, at one with my machine, spinning freely.

Pissed? Moi?

Good god, is no one drinking tea?

Actually, I must admit, I'm drinking smoothie at the moment. It's a glorious day, I've been up and fitted a computer to the trike and run a few errands and got some shopping and I was going to do laundry this afternoon, but I think after lunch I'll go out for a wander about a bit.

I'm having a healthy feeling day, so I've treated myself to some salmon and I'm going to do a stirfry tonight, with veg and noodles and soy and sesame oil.

Smoothie? It's mango and stuff.

Cor gasping is I. Teeeeeeeeaaaaaa please

I been in car on M6 for best part of the day. Car went wonky around Keele services. Some electronic thingy wot not caused engine to loose power. What fun at 70+ in fast lane - suddenly no power . Needed to stop and restart car every so often (on hard shoulder) to "reboot" the electronics. Managed to get home tho'. I was beginning to wonder if we'd make it.

Reading these Tea Leaves I see a trip to a garage and large bill in my future ;)

But sod it - I'm off on my bike tomorrow

Bit quiet in here today. I need to top up my fluid levels after today's excellent pedal up and over plenty of hills where the wild daffs were fantastic. Tea and cake in a nice little cafe too.

So I'll brew a big pot - you lot won't be far behind.

A relaxing cuppa anyone?

Just listened to one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever. The Lark Ascending by Vaughan Williams. Never heard of it before. Simply amazing.

No cycling today as I went to the beach instead. But I'm off work until Friday so I have plenty of time to get some miles in. Also, ordered my new wheels today.

I need to replace the bearings in my front wheels and I have had 4 spokes go ping on my rear wheel recently so time for a new pair. Mavic rims, Shimano hubs with Sram chain and cassette. Will get them on the 19th.;)
