Mrs Ian is back to work August.
She will also be doing a 4 day week. Though different to my day. She will have Mummy/Henry day. She will find it a big wrench to leave him as it's her first child and as you can imagine, utterly dotes on him.

Henry will be going to a baby minder for 2 days a week. The MIL for 1 day of the week. Us for 2 days. So should work out quite well.

Yes, it should. Henry will meet "strangers" and kiddies his age. MIL will enjoy her day with Henry, and both parents less stressed, more time for family. Sounds lovely.

I can imagine the wrench it will be for Mrs Ian. Expect lots of phone calls to start with perhaps?

Well she has been dropping Henry off at the baby minder for 4 hours one day a week. Last week and yesterday, so they get to know each other. Mrs Ian said of last week that the 4 hours felt like 40 hours. Yesterday was a little better and she felt a little calmer about leaving him.

And what is good is that the baby minder has a web cam. So I can log on at any time to see how Henry is doing. Isn't technology marvellous?

Tea please. I just had a minor run in of the 'dopey cyclist turns right without looking just as I am overtaking them' kind, and need my nerves steadying.

Very cute Henry picture Ian!

Cheers. I'm off the adrenalin now - thought I was going over for a minute, with a bus oncoming....

Top up anyone?

Morning all!

Arch, whatever you do, don't try my tactic for stopping Range Rovers...
And yes, a cuppa'd be most welcome

Oh, do tell....

I'll put the kettle on...

You know what her 'excuse' was, when challenged? She'd seen me filtering up, and moved over (about a foot, not enough) to let me through. This apparently made her a far superior driver to everyone else anyway. I should have come past and gone on my way and minded my own business.

Of course, where I'd have gone after filtering past her, assuming I wanted to scoot alongside someone ON THE PHONE, with a Securicor van filling the lane in front of her, I don't know.

I wish I'd had my camera.

Ouch!

I'm worried now. After my collision with the right-turning cyclist yesterday, and this woman this morning, what's number three going to be?

Or can I count the fact that I just had to throw away the first tea I made, because the milk was off?

Good, because after a lucky escape, and a verbal row, the only thing left was an actual injury...

(And it turned out we had new milk anyway)
