You would!!

Just in from the WNRttP. It's none too warm out there.
I'm just about to get in a warming bath. With a warming glass of Laphroiag...

Got those levers sorted yet?

So you won't thank me for saying I'm sunning myself on the Oregon coast? Now I've just cursed it though and the rain will be back...

Lovely! I met a cyclist from Turkey a couple of days ago also cycling the Pacific Coast. It was his first trip outside Turkey.

I bet he was knackered after cycling all that way ...

How's it going Helen - enjoying the time out?

It's going great thanks. The Pacific Coast is a really popular route so I'm meeting a few other cyclists. I managed to gate crash a couple's honeymoon a few nights ago! It was tipping it down with rain and they'd taken the last cabin at the campground but they very kindly let me share. I'm currently hanging out in a fantastic bike shop which has a lounge, bathroom and laundry facilities for cycle tourists. Just waiting for my washing to dry then I'm back out into the sunshine .

Odd. I read that as "shelves" - knitted shelves, gap in the market?

Cheers,
Shaun

I think there would be a gap in the shelves, if you put too many books on them...

They'd basically just be a series of scarves, I guess.

Hmm, laundry in a bike shop? How organised! Whatever next? In my local one, I've heard, it's hard to get them to sell you some brake cables - mate of mine got told "Go to Halfords..."

Go on then.

The Sentinal is on the road again, nice clean(working)bits. Yum.

Only can't be reading the instructions properly as It won't go into first.
Bloody non fettleable/trimmable gears.

*Slurps tea and re reads the instructions again*

I never use 1st on any of my bikes! On the uprights, it's too slow to keep upright, and on the trike it makes a nasty grating noise against the mudguard - I need to get the guard filed down a bit, but haven't got round to it.

Problem sorted for you.... ;)

I'm fairly confident the hanger isn't bent, and still counting blessings that it wasn't, that and not demolishing my back wheel.
Resetting the gear set up has worked and a tiny adjustment to the limit screw.

Dinner is nearly ready, and it is mizzling all over New Cross so I will give it the test ride on the way to work in the morning.
And leave a bit earlier too.
