I watched "Behind Enemy Lines" the other evening. I also enjoyed "Hunt for Red October" and "Crimson Tide" Also have the dvd of "Das Boot".

Have you seen a film called "Gravesend"?

I remember watching The Scream, and guessing the perp within a few minutes. It was the tone of his voice, and look of evil that gave it away.;)

Not seen that one, those 'Scream' type of films are not exactly taxing on the brain cells are they? Probably explains why I like them

I must come and see Beryl one day, maybe I can help her, or help find a way to help her, with the cold.

York, in your other thread, certainly looks pretty under snow.

In the meantime, here she is on Monday, sitting and accumulating just enough energy to make it up the path to home...

i think she got a bit over excited on the way back from town, when we were overtaken by her boyfriend, the council's mini snowplough:

More shovelling today, to keep the compound clear. Plus we managed to do all our normal rounds. Fortunately, there wasn't any signifcant fall overnight, as predicted, so we just scraped over the bit we did yesterday, and cleared a bit further out of the gate so that poor Beryl doesn't have to push through soft stuff when she's at her lowest charge.

Tea?

It was somewhat slidey on the way back from work. It's at times like this I wish I had a trike!
Just been looking enviously at surface temperatures on Venus.
Sadly, the clouds of sulphuric acid might have a bad effect on my bike chain.
And my lungs, for that matter.

Brew?

My cold has stopped getting worse. But by golly, I feel very sluggish. The Tecso lady delivered my order this morning, and I have scoffed eaten the honey roasted cashew nuts. Silly me forgot to put lemons on the order.

Hot lemon with a spoonful of sugar is my favourite 'cold' remedy. Does nothing I'm sure but always makes me feel better
