I took that approach on tour. I found I was craving sweet food much more than I normally do. Luckily I was cycling off all the cake and chocolate .

Yeah, I think if you're normally careful about what you eat, then listening to your body everyso often is good. I've always thought that is the rationale behind pregnant women's odd cravings, the body demanding some missing nutrient.

Well. Presents wrapped. Cards made. Just this week of work to get through....

I have been wrapping some plants - in fleece! Very low, minus 19, here last night. :cold:

My mostest favourite, and well-established, plant is a Bottle brush plant, and it also has some baby plants next to it, which I grew from cuttings. I think they deserve some tlc. So I put on three layers of clothes, (on me!) and carefully arranged the fleece on the plants. Not too bad outside, except for my toesies.

Who can I warm my cold toesies on, while I sit on the sofa eating mince pies? :?:

Keep them away from me! Here, have a hot water bottle.

Isn't is amazing, the narrow range of a fan heater. I have one next to my chair. If I tuck my feet under the chair, they overheat. But move them a few inches away, and they get cold!

Pots, you do not need to apologise for mentionning the C word.

Admittedly in the early days of this thread, Lord of the Teapot would instantly appear with his bottle of tippex, and with a very loud Tut, he would remove the offending word. Then people would call it a non-tea beverage. Later it was referred to as C*ff**.

Sorry about the meandering explanation, but I thought you might like a potted  history of this thread. ;)

Speich, Both Tootsie or Toots is slang for a 'girl', Tush is also slang for 'girl' but mainly in the South and South West, other parts of the US, yes it does refer to a bum..:-)

Not at all.

One of the things I intend to liberate from my Mum's garage if I ever have a place big anough for it, is our old coffee table from when I was a kid. It's a fairly ordinary 70's thing, long and narrow, with a shelf underneath for magazines - it was where the Radio Times always lived. There are tooth marks on the edge from both my sister and I teething, and my Dad used to regularly catch his shin on it. It was our everyday dining table too, and I played with Lego on it, and did my homework on it. I can actually recall the smell of Mum cleaning it and polishing it up with Teak Oil. I think Mum would have thrown it away, until I said I wanted it. I think I feel that having it would be a sign that I'd finally grown up.

What decade did the Tea thread start then? Did once look at it from page 1 but noticed there were hundreds of pages of it so gave up, and this current incarnation is over 500 pages now too

Today I have mostly been eating bacon and sausage, mince pies and drinking bucket loads of Tea, oh and doing a good job of keeping the tissue manufacturers busy with all my snotty nose blowing
