Potsy, I can confirm that Lindt Swiss Luxury Collection chocolates are exceedingly yummy. Just in case you needed to know.   ;)

You haven't finished your Christmas shopping yet have you? One of your aunties might like some.

How many WW's points in one of them? I might have to get some 'Lindor' choccies again this year they were very popular with me last time, don't even want to think about how bad they are for my ever expanding waistline

And NO I haven't even started my Xmas shopping yet

I do not think that WW points exist from now until the 28th December, possibly longer.

I am on a damage limitation exercise, rather than a loosing weight regime, at present. There are 14 very lovely chocs in each box. Last week they were on special offer at Tesco's, two boxes for £7, instead of £5 each. I am fairly good at sums, and decided to buy a box each for me and my Mother. The weather is too bad for her to come here for Christmas, so I decided to open my box of Chocs, in order to assist you with your market research. Isn't that kind of me.

I saw the same offer myself and was very well behaved and ignored them, but it is only a matter of time

Also noticed they are doing 'Bulmers cider' 8 pints for £5 which is half price, now I'm not much of a drinker but will be taking advantage of this offer too

I've been on damage limitation most of the year tbh, how about becoming my diet buddy next year?

I have been attending the Weight Watcher's meetings, and lost four pounds in the first month. Nothing exceptional, but an average of one pound per week. It seems a sensible diet. I do not intend buying any of their branded products. I do feel better, and my clothes are a smidgeon looser.

They have calculated that not all calories are equal. Foods such as protein and fibre use calories to digest those calories. The website is good. I do not think it matters if you attend a different meeting from week to week. This is important if you are doing shifts.

I had not realised how many calories there are in alcohol. I was drinking about two bottles of wine in a week, and eating lots of crisps, and too much chocolate. Unlike diets like the Watkins diet? you can eat unlimited amounts of fruit and veg, but perhaps not twenty bananas a day.

If you are not much of a drinker, that would last you until the New Year would it?

Have a look at the website for WW, and I think you will see how sensible, and easy to follow it is. You are allowed a certain number of points, and then "extra" points for the week, for treats etc. With your cycling, you would get more points for the exercise you take. You can follow it on-line without attending meetings. I think the meetings would help with motivation.

Well I would like a diet partner to help with motivation and to keep me on the straight and narrow, can't see me going to WW's tbh, but need to seriously cut out the amount of crisps, bikkies, cakes etc that I eat now, might have to put the 'Tea' thread on my ignore list as it is a very bad influence

Will PM you my vital statistics as they are not for public knowledge

The biskits on the Tea thread have negative calories, I thought you knew that.

I can safely say that my vital statistics are not for public knowledge either.

Perhaps we should start a new thread for January for a fresh start for those watching their figure? The weight watching thread on this forum can get a bit jumbled at times.

I found that I was keen on the WW thread when my weight loss was going well, lets just say I haven't been near it for a while

Trouble is there are too many pics of me and people that have met me to hide now.

Too many pics of you? I have not seen any!

There are one or two of me on the forum.

Talking of pictures, you can upload a photo of yourself onto the WW thread, then enter your ideal weight etc. With a bit of easy peasy instructions to follow, you will end up with a photo of you at your preferred weight. It needs to be a photo of you face onto the camera, or you end up a very funny shape... do not ask me how I know that...

You do not need to join WW to get that photo, of you, that is, not me.

This is making me feel very bad.
I need to lose about 15-20lbs and I can see exactly where I would like to lose it from. It equates to about 3-4" off the waistline.

I must do something about it as soon as the holiday period is over. Alcohol I can cut out completely, chocolate, cake and biscuits are going to be the difficult ones. Excercise has been problematic, when I do some I tend to then eat considerably more calories then I have used.
