This is making me feel very bad.
I need to lose about 15-20lbs and I can see exactly where I would like to lose it from. It equates to about 3-4" off the waistline.

I must do something about it as soon as the holiday period is over. Alcohol I can cut out completely, chocolate, cake and biscuits are going to be the difficult ones. Excercise has been problematic, when I do some I tend to then eat considerably more calories then I have used.

Sounds like the people of Tea have their work cut out in the new year

The 15-20lbs (maybe it is a bit more now) is the bit I am struggling with. It all sits in the front of my middle, pretty much where it is unhealthiest. The rest of me is fine but I look deeper then I am wide.:blush:
That's got to be reason enough to try and loose it.

Idealy I should be about 11 stone tops, preferably 10, but I am nearing 14 stone.

This is me on stage on the far left. It's not the shirt that is baggy.

I think know that I have about ...er um... lots of poundage to loose. :blush:

We should be able to encourage each other.

Maybe we could offer sticks of celery and carrots to nibble on next year, leave the biscuits and cakes to those that need feeding up a bit like Arch and Ian?

For all you would-be dieters, may I recommend 6 months cycle touring. Eat as much as you want and still lose weight. Can't cycle tour? Just find yourself a 50 miles daily commute :biggrin:. I've come back the lightest and slimmest I've been since I was 18. Must try to keep it off.

Tea anyone?

I like the sound of eating as much as you want, not sure about 6 months round the world though, I'm not much of an adventurer. In fact the walk to Tesco I have to do in a minute seems a long trek

I did a tour across Canada, and down the west coast of USA. Deep snow in Canada, but that did not hinder my progress, and very warm in San Francisco. It was a very easy tour, and the meals on board the train were very good. :biggrin:

My arms are now longer after carrying home 2 boxes of cat food and a big bag of catty litter, almost had to leave my mince pies at the checkout

I'm more of a walker then a cyclist when it comes to distance, doesn't burn of the calories as well though.
Maybe cutting back my meals would help, only 4 hot meals a day instead of the usual 6.
