mmm thanks Pots...good stuff!
A brew for you in exchange - I'm sure I could knock up a blueberry loaf...had a craving for banana bread earlier this evening, have some bananas ready for it. Was just too lazy to make it tonight as it would have taken a fair amount of time.

whooosshhh

* rushes in with a very large sturdy box, collects up all the drinking vessels that are not tea cups, and very hastily hides them *

* puts kettle on, and.... oh crikey.....how long will it take me to match up the tea cups with the right saucers *

Do not let anyone from P and L into here  ... yet.

Do you want me to give the place a quick going over before the rabble get here?

Also bought some hair clippers so will be getting scalped shortly

Nice one... Henry hoovers knock all those over priced, dusty Dysons into a coked hat...

I have four of them in my house, saves dragging one all over the place and never having one where it is next needed.

My mum has often spoken wistfully of having an upstairs hoover and a downstairs hoover, but I think she thinks it's too extravagant... Each would need a hose capable of hoovering half the stairs, of course...

Well, today wasn't so bad. We got it all done by 4.30, and David and I covered 8.3 miles on the trikes! Including probably the steepest hill in York! (yes, we went up it)

Just tomorrow to get over. We're hoping it'll be quiet, with the students away. But we're going to start early, and maximise our efficiency as much as possible. I'm really hoping to get away before I'm relying on the last train...

The batty woman at Tuke House, who spoke to us last week about some signs to put up (people aren't sorting their stuff much, and she's taken on doing it instead - apparently she's been taking the caps off bottles, which is quite unnecessary), came out as we were collecting, and said (nicely) that my 'cart' was in front of her garage and could I move it for her to get out... Cart! CART! That's 4 grands worth of Maximus loadcarrying tricycle! Then she asked where our 'train' was today. Train! TRAIN! That's a Bradshaws FB electric truck, you stupid woman, in what way is it a train? I dunno, you need a 3 year old boy to understand these things properly.

Right, any tea on the go?
