I am off for a shower now. Cool enough for the cats to go out now as well. Leo never used to lie in the sun, but has recently started doing so. As he is white, he may be prone to sunburnt ears. Not sure how easy it would be to put suncream on his ears.
We put sun cream on Doogie's remaining ear, and on his nose. He's surprisingly amenable!

Oh, and Potsy, you insulted me last week, but it was funny so I won't bear a grudge

I will remember it for a long time though...

Intrigued by your remark about Ladas, NT, which were Russian, I wondered what makes of car Hungary did produce. Googling led me to this:

This one looks a bit

So, anyway, what sets are you building this time?

I will be painting the scenery for 'Hey Diddle Diddle' requiring The Village of Clover, The Fiddle Diddle Inn, The Witch's castle, a Palace and a forrest scene.
I will also be making a few small bits of set, a cage, some toad stools and a couple of thrones and a few other bits.

Potsy, I wasn't tanked up but I was railroaded.;)
It's just like falling off a horse, you have to get right back on again and carry one riding.

It's my first proper 'off' since I was about 15 years old. No tramlines then.

Not entering into a helmet debate but...

I recently decided to buy a helmet, I've been a bit unsteady, losing my balance a bit and getting dizzy spells and thought it might be a good idea.

I have just been downstairs to have a look at my helmet. It is a Specialized helmet with a clip on sun visor. The visor came off when I fell and I just grabbed it off the road and didn't think about it. It seems the visor took the brunt of the impact and is nicely roughed up.

I reckon that the damaged visor and the damage on my glasses mean that I could have hit my head hard on the tarmac without it and at the very least it saved a lot more road rash on my face and could have saved an eye from injury.

I guess that paid for itself then.

Speicher, I used to put suncream on my piggies but you'd have to get me very drunk to attempt such a thing on a *cat*

It really depends on the cat! Doogie just looks sad and submissive...then goes into the garden and licks it all off.

I'm feeling well and bright.

I think the weekend in York on the bike made a difference to my general well being so the aches and pains aren't at the forefront. I think I will trike to the theatre on Wednesday though.

There are two routes there. Going there on the tram lines is mostly downhill with just a short bridge to climb and coming back via Hope Hospital is also mostly down hill with just a short climb to the Motorway junction so doing it as circular run it seems to be downhill all the way in both directions.

Going back into the workshop now. I will resurface for tea in about 2-3 hours.

Oh dear, is there anyone left on the tea thread I haven't insulted?

Longers? Jo? Doc?

Another glorious day in the sunny north :sun:
Having a jam butty and a cup of tea for my lunch, whilst watching the ladies tennis :becool:

This sounds good, as long as you don't mean that all the cycling hurt so much that any road rash is incidental in comparison! ;)

Like a submarine?

Seemed fresher this morning, but it was still pretty muggy. Clouded over now, I'm wondering if we'll get some more rain...

Tea?
