Odd combination but whatever floats your boat I guess.

I am now home and recovering from a very hot weekend in York.:sun::bicycle:

I found a nice treat in the letter box, another payslip from work.:hyper: I thought my last pay for the year was last month's.

Did not find Bannofie Pie, found a fresh doughnut instead, just consumed followed by Tea.

My c*r is having a service, so who knows what I might purchase from a shop on my way back.

Didn't realise it was Wednesday already

Lovely ride home in the swealtering heat, went thru the park again and passed the ice cream van without even a backwards glance

Watching the great white hope now. (Andy Murray) on his way to the Wimbledon title

Just because you did not give the ice cream van a backward's glance, does not mean that you did not buy an ice cream, does it?

If you had done Colinj's ride yesterday, you would have needed to wear shorts. :becool:

There was no opportunity to buy an ice cream on my way back from the garage, they brought the car back for me.

I've been good. Bought satsumas, nectarines and grapes.

With an average speed between 10 and 12mph, how many miles would I need to cycle to cancel out an ice cream?

If I had done the Colinj ride I would be walking like a zombie today, it looked mega tough.
Wore shorts today on my commute, 2nd time this year I think, and the delivery I was waiting for actually turned up whilst I was in for a change.
I now have a lovely lightweight waterproof jacket, a new fleece and a pair of Craghopper light-ish weight walking/cargo pants.
The sizing difference between cycling clothing and walking clothing is remarkable, I go for XL in a lot of cycle stuff, the things I received today are all L and are certainly not tight that's for sure.

Early tea and an early night coming up :tired:

Depends how big the ice cream is Jo  I work on the estimate of 35-40 calories per mile, I ride slightly faster at 13-14mph, I would imagine somewhere around 6-8 miles?

Imagine if you will, a black teeshirt, a pair of black craghopper trousers, and a pair of steel toecapped boots, loosely encasing a vaguely human shaped piece of sweaty lard.

Yeah. That was me by lunchtime..

So tired and hot, I walked home pushing the bike, it seemed easier...

Tea?

How exactly does this differ from your normal look Arch?
