I had Chinese takeaway last night. I also went to the newish Cantonese Restaurant near here, one lunchtime last week. Very good, there is also an excellent Thai Restaurant.

If I were in charge I wouldn't allow ice cream to be served with hot puddings.

You would be allowed if the ice cream was allowed to melt before it was served.

Normally if Sir Longers of Nice-Blokeshire was to make a proposal I'd be backing him to the hilt.
But, here I have to regretfully dissent.
STP is, obviously hot and sticky.
Those bits of hot toffee sauce that hit the ice cream go gooey and almost set, depending on the temperature and degree of contact.
You now have hot bits, cool bits, runny bits and chewy bits.
It's bliss in a bowl.
