Good heavens!

By whom?

Congratulations!

Does it pay?

There's no need to sound so surprised....;)

By the St Nicks Recycling Collection service. Had the interview this afternoon. I've done the job as a casual worker, so I know it, and the people, and it's doing something worthwhile and outdoors. It pays, yes, enough I reckon to stop getting help from my Mum, and start paying her back, and accumulate a little extra each month, which is all I need. It's 4 days a week, so I can still work for Velo Vision, and I can start in November after the freelance database work I've been offered at the CBA (which should sort the overdraft out). With a bit of luck, I won't be tipped over the threashold to start paying back the student loan...

I'll have a total daily commute of just over 3 miles, and will also sometimes be riding the Maximus trike, so it can only be good for the calf muscles.

Now, I have to be a bit restrained and not rush out and order a load of stuff for the Galaxy - after all the pay won't start until November.

Well, I'm off home I think. I shall have a celebratory spag bol for dinner. I was going to have spag bol anyway, but now it will be celebratory.;) Sod it, I might get a bottle of beer on the way home.

And, it's only a week and a bit until I go down to visit Oli and take his bike! I'm counting the days now.

I intend to get out on the bike over the weekend too, maybe, just maybe, I might get as far as Otley. Depends if I feel up to hilly bits.

Have a nice weekend all!

I think you won't have to pay back your loan yet, the threshold for us is fifteen thousand. The 10 grand limit was scrapped a few years back. In 10 years the loan will be cleared.

You had the job in the bag before the interview

It was a bowl of chili at Chez Wafflycat this evening. With a glass of fermented juice of fruit of the vine raised in your honour.
