Morning. I type this through the visual disturbances that indicate a migraine developing swiftly. Watching the Cenotaph proceedings - Gordon Brown irritates me more and more - this morning it was a small but IMO an important thing. At the laying of the wreaths, heads are bowed (or salutes given if you're representing the Forces). Gordo - putting the first 'civilian' wreath on the Cenotaph, in his role as PM... did he bow his head? Even slightly? No, Twerp. At least Cameron & Clegg did that small but decent action of respect that Brown couldn't manage. Bah!

Tea on the go?

I'll put the kettle on. Let's hope the migraine changes its mind.

Anyone got any idea where I put my freebie Skyride mitts? I can't find them anywhere. I can't remember the last time I had them on either, as I've been wearing fleece gloves this week.

On top of the fridge?
In a pannier?
On the sideboard?
Down the side of the sofa?
On top of the bathroom cabinet?

Afternoon! Tea's up. Just back from my first CTC ride and I'm trying to warm up. It was a bit chilly out there, but at least we missed the rain. Apparently parts of Hull have flooded:ohmy:. They were all very friendly; I think I was a novelty being female and not retired!

1. Unlikely, not much room under the draining board.
2. No, just double checked.
3. There isn't a down the side of my sofa, it's jammed into an alcove.
4. I haven't got one.

Helen, did you find the rest of the bunch knew how to talk to you? I've sometimes found that groups of older CTC types get a bit tongue tied, or are amazed when girls turn out to be normal.

Anyway, here's a nice picture:

Not me, the bike. At last! Needs some tweaks, but he's finally a proper bike again.

I was pleasantly surprised, I had a good chat to quite a few of them. I also got invited to their Christmas do, a free copy of their magazine and asked whether I wanted to go on holiday with them in April! There was much hilarity when the leader asked for my phone number:laugh:.

Morning all!

I'm feeling slightly more chipper, having had the Dr confirm that I've not got pneumonia. Still coughing a lot though.
Dr recommended hot drinks to ease the symptoms...

Perhaps he needs a hair of the dog? Did you take Renard's dog out?

ah um edit :blush::laugh:

(It was Dayvo who said that Renard should take the dog out of the kettle).

Renard had said that he would fill the kettle, but needed to take dog out first - I guess you needed to be there to find this funny.;)
