Yebbut Jo's a roadie now n'everyfing, so she can't cart too much luggage around with herI have a saddle bag for all my tools and tubes etc and a bar bag for everything else. I have a small bar bag and a large one so I can choose depending on how far I am going.

I've recently started a girls' road ride with a colleague and a couple of other people - last week they asked why I rode my audax bike with a Carradice instead of bringing my road bike. This is after we'd been out for a couple of hours with me carrying an assortment of their phones, cash cards and emergency rations of Alpen bars![]()
But how far is that
I've got a horribly early start tomorrow - anyone want a non-caffeinated beverage?
A fellow club rider has an older-style Caradice saddle bag that's not much wider than the saddle but lovely and deep. Plenty of room for the usual tools, phones etc, plus a sizeable first aid kit and room for his waterproof.
Seems that Caradice don't make them any longer.

If I decide to do the Season of Mists next week I will have to get up at about 5:30 am![]()
I don't know why I'm complaining: I used to get up at 6 every day and would usually wake up before the alarm. Now? Urgh!
