Jo Jo JO Jo Jo Jo ........... WAKE UP

Wuh? Who? Eh?

Oh.

It's you.

I'm up. Honest. Only hit snooze four times.

It's dark. And raining. And none of the forecasts agree about today's weather. According to the BBC, right now it's nothing more than cloudy!

Urgh. Anyone for tea? No, ok, I'll drink yours as well. Waste not, want not...

Mornings, just eating a piece of toast before I set off for the Jodrell ride.

This could be a bad idea

Come on pots, I know it's toast and not a cornetto, but since when is cooked bread a bad idea?

I had a fantastic ride this morning. Apart from the rain. Had one hell of a battle with my bib shorts, trying to get them back on after going to the loo. There's got to be a more user-friendly design trapped in someone's imagination.

And no, not like that. No tea for you, you or you. Especially YOU.

Sun is out now :sun:

Shame I have to go to the recycling centre and not out on the bike

I'd really like a pair of bondage bibshorts but the whole toilet-lycra wrestling puts me off. I do know of someone who succumbed to the sudden onset wee you experience on coming home on a cold winter's day and couldn't quite get out of hers on time

Boo to not going out on the bike. I've got to administer some cleaning this afternoon, just to make sure that there is still a bike under all that mud. Still, at least it'll be in the sun.

Going to the loo isn't normally a problem, it's just getting back into them when you're soaked to the skin. Bit like putting on wet jeans, only the lycra's more stretchy. And because there's no waistband, you don't feel as pressured when you do need the loo.

I can't face the prospect of removing all my winter layers to get in and out of them though!

The plus side of a tip-trip means we can finally get back into the outhouse without risking life and limb...

More proof that God is a man

Lovely ride for us, 50ish miles with coffee and cake at Jodrell bank. The cafe has been done up very nicely since I was last there, they have even built a covered bike shed

Think that should help get rid of this cold, either that or tonights chicken Madras should do it :hungry:

My bike is camera shy

Mine is now nice and shiny again. Stupid mud. Having adjusted the angle of the handlebars, I'm now working up the courage to lower the stem. I have visions of it all going wrong and not being able to put it back together again

A job for tomorrow, methinks.

I've spent the afternoon sorting out the brakes on the Ratrike. They have been very 'draggy' due partly to warped discs but mainly to rotten adjustment of the calipers.

The calipers are now better on the front, and so actually work the way they should, and the real one has been taken apart and rebuilt to make it work without the caliper hitting the disc.

Now I just need to get the front mech working properly so I don't need to change gear by manually flicking the chain over with the chain tube.

So you managed to drag yourself from your pit then, I am afraid to say I went straight back to bed after that post this morning and crawled out at about 11am then fed and watch F1
