With apologies for cross forum posting, here's something which may interest denizens of Tea?

Tea Duelling, apparently it's all judged on the daintyness of your tea drinking and biskit eating....
So I take it builders tea in a mug would be like dueling with a cannon!:giggle:

Marks may be gained or lost for such matters as posture, pinkie usage, politeness, wit, clarity of speech, clarity of thought and amusing, preferably either original or apt quotation and good conversation. The other contestant and the judge are there to be amused, entertained and impressed.
Well that rules out most of us...

I say!! That sounds perfectly super.
Not sure about the whole steampunk thing though. While I love the idea of a Victorian internet powered by a distributed network of Analytical Engines, I can't help feeling that a mechanical netbook might be a little, well, cumbersome. And if you think Windows takes an eternity to launch, consider first having to raise 150 psi of steam pressure to power the mouse (which would be the size of an elephant).

Wouldn't the elephant be afraid of the mouse?

I like the Steampunk look, but I'm a sucker for brass and wood. Which is fortunate, considering my engagement ring....

I know.
I have considered a Steampunk looking bike, with wood-effect Fablon and brass-coated lugs.
Need some Bakelite brake levers though, and a hub gear with windows in, so as to see all the coggy bits.

I'm sure that could be made.

I'm sure it could. I only have one bike with lugs, however, and it's my 531 ST. Getting on a bit now, and the seat post is stuck, but I've been *everywhere* on that bike over the last 20-odd years.
Not sure I want to mess it up...

It has been so warm, well over 20degC.

I have been to the scrap yard and got rid of the pile of car and some other bits but came back with one of these.

It fits in the trailer.
Here we go (for illustrative purposes only as the hitch isn't made yet.)

I also tried a test of the trailer's strength.

The grimace is because the axle isn't the most comfy thing to sit balance on while Mum is trying to work out how to take a photo.
Time for :cuppa: and lunch :hungry:
