^_^ Yes, I have some of that, but does it go with spraklign withe swine?

At least the tedium of the return journey was lightened by passing lots of vintage vehicles, including a motorbike and side car. ^_^

My Fantasy Team was sixth in the League. I correctly guessed carefully analysed the riders, to choose not only the obvious first and second placed rider, but also the third placed. Today I got the first, second and fifth correct. :wahhey:

Apologies to Jo, I have no scones, jam or clotted cream left. My Mother and I scoffed most of them, and any left over are now in her fridge, not mine.

To be fair, I did have giant cookies :mrpig: and freshly picked home grown cherries :hungry: while watching Le Tour this afternoon. Am following it up with crunchy nut cornflakes because (a) I'm that classy and (b) I'm also that lazy...

Smoked salmon pate and melba toast with Pimms (my recipe has graced this fred at least twice)
Garlic potato wedges, roasted peppers and steak au poivre, and a delicious 2002 Burgundy
Hokey-pokey ice cream.
Read'em and weep, bumpkin

Hmm, I'd rather have smoked salmon on fresh brown bread with lemon squeezed over it - and you can keep the Burgundy - but otherwise..........................:cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:

There was lemon involved, and the brown bread was fresh before I toasted it...
OK, here we go again.
Get a blender, insert some smoked salmon trimmings (Asda Smart Price this week)
Add a dollop of creme fraiche, cream cheese or something similar (Greek yoghurt this week)
Add lemon juice.
Blend. Add black pepper if you like.

It's a good way of getting a starter out of 30p of salmon, a slice or two of bread and random dairy products from the fridge. Plus, Melba toast looks as cool as hell, but is a doddle to make.
