No, previously I was only seeing the consultant (or one of the many random people working under him, I've been told) who at the last meeting spent about only a minute with me.Was that the same physio you mentioned earlier in another thread??![]()
This was a physiotherapist who I haven't met before. She was understanding of my concerns and went to check the consultant's notes. She read to me all the 'advice he had given' me and so I pointed out that all he had written down was what I had told him I was doing off may own back!
She said that she couldn't go against the consultant's advice to keep the boot on for 23hrs a day for the next 6 weeks but did suggest I call just before the three weeks to see if there is a cancellation appointment I can have to try and get the boot off sooner.
The Physio's advice on exercise seems to be good and helpful though and she did seem to want to help me out as much as possible. However, she did also say that it is unlikely I will have the strength to drive or ride again for quite some time.
So I came back and baked a cake for Dad.
Apparently it is my Dad's birthday this week.

His first was in June on the western calendar. The current one is on the Chinese calendar. According to Mum, someone with an April birthday could have three birthdays this year as there is a leap month and so two 'Aprils' in the Chinese calendar as well as the western April!
