That sounds much more civilised than a car boot sale.Well, we're back, we spent a massive £3.50 on a tool box, a kitchen timer shaped like a teapot, and two model Landrovers. It was a fun place to poke around in, and not overpriced. I think we'll be back there.
We even wondered about renting a stand when we come to have a proper clearout. They are all just stalls and cabinets, and people pick up the things they want and pay on the way out like a supermarket, so you don't have to be there all the time, and it's fairly cheap to rent. There were a lot of stands that were selling just the sort oftaticonic items we might wish to dispose of.
Then we stopped at a different retail place on the way back, and had a cup of tea and some cake.![]()

Not that I frequent car boot sales. I have been to two or possibly three. One of which I was only there to help someone who was down-sizing and moving house. I bought an Old Hall (brand new) tea pot for 20 pence I think. And, Potsy, that is twenty new pence, btw.
