Ooh, what colour is it going to be? (Sorry, that seems a very girly question to ask:blush:).

I dunno, you need to make sure your bits and pieces are going to match...

Really, I take more care over my bikes* than my outfits....

*well, the Galaxy. The others are a bit more mongrel.

Oh, Uncle Phil, did I see Mrs Uncle Phil looking at my bottle cage on Sunday? Only I've discovered that it's a bit rubbish - very bendy. I caught it in the flappy leg of my jeans and twanged it, and now the bottles don't fit properly, despite trying to bend it back. Not very robust.

Now then, kettle time I think. Hey, I got my first bit of Christmas shopping on the way to work! I was helping my friend set up her stall and bought something from the next trader....

Wait till you see Mrs Uncle Phil's Moulton. It used to be Moulton steely grey. You'll be impressed! But you might have to wait until the summer...

Not at all. It's been pre-occupying me for some time.

After careful consideration, it's going to be the same colour as the one that was flattened, a sort greeny-bluey Bugatti blue. Or as close as Argos Cycles can get to it.

I had almost decided to do this when Velocidad suggested it with no prompting on Sunday. That clinched it.

That was a very lovely blue....

We were thinking of mugging you for it, because it's a good match to the colour we have in mind. The wrecked Moulton had one that colour too, and it got a bit bent.

You also have a chainring in the same colour, but we don't want that. It's too small for a Moulton (need a 52 or 53 outer ring at least).

Well, we won't bother then. You're safe.

My old Moulton came with various odd bits and pieces in matching blue - seat post Q/R, wheel QRs, the odd nut.

Who makes these coloured anodised parts, and where can I get them?

Hmm, you might overpower me, but I suspect I could defeat Mrs Uncle Phil by dint of sitting on her. Although I bet she's probably pretty strong for her size.

Well, when I replace it you'd be welcome to it, in case you could reshape it, but I think it would be prone to bending again, and the cumulative stress might make it break. I put it on to replace the one that was on there, but which cracked. Do bottle cages normally fail, or is it me?

I'm not sure I deserve a tea this morning. I faffed(sp?) about this morning trying to decide whether to cycle into work, managed to set off then realised that I'd left my pump, spare tube and tools at home:sad:. It would have been sods law that this would be the only time I'd have needed them so I turned back home then couldn't find them:wacko:. I'm in the car:blush:.

I don't know:blush: Tom got hold of a job lot in when Mike West still had Bishopthorpe Bikes, that'll be 3 or 4 years ago now. I think they were being sold off cheap as out of fashion. I have a couple of chainrings on the FCR, the bottle cage, and some skewers on the Galaxy - not QR, but with an allen key head - a sort of semi security type. In fact, I'm looking to replace them (the skewers) because the blue clashes with the red - if you'd like them, you are welcome.

It might be worth looking at BMX sections of shops, I think that's the target market.

What's going on there in England?

I spoke to me mum, who lives in Exeter, and she said it was 19 degrees there yesterday!

I'm flying over on Monday and don't know whether to pack my shorts/and or rain clothes!

oh my, oh my.

Stop me. Tell me I mustn't. Tell me it would be an unwanted extravagance. Tie me down if you have to....

A review trike has just been delivered....
