<Grumbles> - drove in again this morning. Bloomin' seat post still stuck in the frame.
Any tea in the pot? Might start on me sarnnies as well I'm starvin'.
Bloke yesterday I borrowed the vice from offered me an old Saracen TrakTrek - frame was too big I think but with saddle stem almost right down I could reach pedals comfortably - not sure about frame dimesnsions being too big overall though. Any good anyone?
Gonna try sawing the seat pin out of my frame over the weekend unless you really can "melt" aluminium out with caustic soda - I'm not convinced.
Hey - are we having any more of those pingy wafer thingies in again or does no-one like 'em.
Do a search on here I'm sure there was a thread about getting a seat post out of a frame recently. I used to have a saracen tufftrax a long time ago and it was good at the time.
*Yawns*
Ningles each!!
Tis an 'orrible grey day here, and not conducive to getting-up-early.
I then get to work and the roof is being jet-washed as part of a Moss-and-leak-reduction-exercise. An industrial jet-wash machine 4 yard that way *pionts up and right* is a bit noisy...
I need a Tea!
I've been very bad and not cycled to work once this week. But I'm making up for it on Sunday by going out with CTC for the first time. Hopefully they'll introduce me to some good local tea spots.
Zippy, I tried ammonia and it didn't do a thing. Caustic and a fair amount of elbow grease did.
Like you, I was going to resort to sawing out a seat post, but the caustic solution made this unnecessary. Try it - you have nothing to lose but another day or two off the bike, and it's the weekend anyway.
