Add 30 to that estimate of my age and you'll be spot on.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY WAFFLES!!!

My feet is frozed.;)
Thank all deities I had the foresight and didn't put myself forward for the sponsored swim at Brockwell Lido tomorrow. It's an annual event and this year the proceeds are going to Wheels For Wellbeing so we have to be there to show our faces.

My boss and a couple of other instructors said they would do the swim, I said I would stay in the Cafe and man the donation buckets.

Two nights ago there was reported ice on the pool for the first time in 10 years.

I'll get the teas in then?

I've just got in, after an interesting ride home - well, no, it was very dull due to me riding most of it at about 7 mph, and walking the bits that were sheet ice...

I'm now shoveling sausage, chips and mushy peas into myself....;)

There's been some appalling driving out there today. Too many drivers not engaging their amoeba like brain cell to realise that snow & ice means slow down, no harsh braking, use the gears, leave plenty of space between you & the vehicle in front. And no, the fact I am driving slower than normal Mr Idiot at the junction of that side road does not mean that you have carte blanche to floor it, spin your wheels, skid through losing grip, slide across the road in front of me, have your back end sliding all over the place before you narrowly miss hitting several trees at the side of the road... One of too many similar displays of not having a clue of how to drive in adverse conditions.. Bah!

tdr1nka - I'm glad you had the foresight not to be swimming tomorrow. I think your well honed tea making skills will be in demand.;)

Anyone need a cuppa?

The best thing is, I'm not going to be making the tea as I'll be in the Lido Cafe!
I am fairly resolute about not swimming in pools as I just can't abide swimming in chlorinated water.

We have not got any snow at all here. But it is very cold. Tomorrow I will be decorating the tree, and making some mince pies.

Sunday is the Carol Concert with Mulled Wine and mince Pies afterwards.

No tea for me, thank you, I have a bottle of Martini Asti, which should last me for three evenings.

So true.

I'm lucky that I wasn't on any main routes in rush hour today but this evening was hairy enough!

Had another idiot try to overtake us(on the tandem)as we entered a mini roundabout with oncoming traffic.

I know that I'm getting one of these for Crimbo and frankly I can't wait to start using it.

TEA UP!

Mornings!! First cuppa the day.

Today I will be fitting my new canti brakes and tuning my headset and then she's ready to relaunch hopefully Monday when most of the motons will have broken for Christmas hols round here. A nice easy return to cycling then. Cornwall gets mighty quiet when most of the folks drive North to meet their rellies.

Hard frost on everything at the moment; very quiet.

Mornin's!
No snow in London but it is decidedly chilly.

Think of me at Midday, sitting in a nice warm cafe watching everyone taking a swim in the freezing Lido!

(I do feel a bit shamey for not doing the swim for the charity but really, I'm saving them the bother of having an ambulance crew on standby.)

Morning all.

No more work or Uni until January.

Will be ironing and packing today to go to Thailand tomorrow to see my other half.:wahhey:

I also got the go ahead from the physios to restart my Thai Boxing training in January as well. I've had a hip injury for the past few months so I've not been able to train as much as I would like to.
:smile::boxing:
