Mushroom and cat brain soup?

No offence, but with the exception of garlic, you've just described my worst idea of soup ever....

I first had mushroom & walnut soup in a wee cafe somewhere *wafts hand in general direction of outside* and it was the only soup on the menu. It was a cold day. I thought *yuk* but was cold & hungry. So tried it. And it was delicious. So I sometimes make it at home.

See, it's the mushrooms. And I only like walnut, correction, tolerate walnut, when copiously surrounded by cake or Arch's spicy squares traybake.

So you can see why....

Now, I'm off to bed, with my treat for the week, a knitting magazine...

Hurray I have finished my essay, Bikepete is editing as I type. That was a tough one, due to it being a bit boring. Oh well 15 plant names to learn for Monday. Better get cracking with that tomorrow. :-)

Wafflycat - I can do mushroom soup quite well, like a bit of garlic but how do you do the walnuts in the soup? I've got a jar of cat brain pieces that won't get used on anything else and a good soup would be ideal. Ta.

I just chuck them in towards the end of the cooking time, so that they are warmed through, reserving a few bits to use as a garnish.

15 Conifers, i'm not looking forward to it, its quite complex. I've left it a bit late as well because of having to get the essay out of the way.

He's a sleeper then or whatever they call the spies or tricksters who are very deep undercover.

Not sure how well this will work written down but one of the other two cats will walk under the footstool he's on, tap it and keep walking, like someone tapping your shoulder and moving round the other side. He hasn't a clue at all.

He loves string but it usually outwits him.

How does it feel to be the right way up?!

It feels a bit odd, TBH. I went to bed at about 9-ish last night, and have been intermittently waking up from about 6 am or so.
I shall go out for a short ride soon, although I'm less-than-impressed with all this snow and such.

I dunno about the old Home Counties but the snow is a bit pathetic in London now.
The only danger is from rain & snow melt freezing overnight leaving ice on the side roads.

Going to take Miss t out on her bike in the park in a bit, the paths are clear of snow now.

Later today the tdr1nkas are going to an open audition for a local production of Sweeney Todd. Night Train will be proud.
