Yeah, I had coffee this morning....

I had some instant cappucinos left, so I had one of them. I don't expect to get tea until this afternoon - railway tea just isn't worth the money.

Morning.

Had TEA this morning. In copious quantities! The only dark side that beckons to me is that of recumbents!

WCMnr has his driving test this morning. I am nervous for him. My stomach is in knots. Nay, it is being macrame-ed into a shawl...

I have no fingernails. No fingers, only bloodied stumps up to the elbows
(which makes typing difficult)

Yeah, I can see that, I just tried typing with my elbows...

Good luck to Waffles Minor!

Normally, another motorist on the roads would fill me with trepidation, but given your descriptions of WCMnr's driving I'm happy to offer whole-hearted congratulations.

Now, take the car keys off him, and tell him to keep riding his bike!

Heh

He's going to be doing Pass Plus. He's coming home from uni tomorrow and that's when we'll get Pass Plus organised inbetween revision for his finals.

He can't drive either my car or his dad's as he's not insured for them, so plenty of cycling to be done!

I've just brewed some Fresh mr Mag00. It's over there ---> Don't know where the milk is tho'.

Well done on passing test waffles minor. Glad he'll be doing the next bit. Often times (and this may not apply to present company) youngsters pass and become way over confident and mega silly with tragic results. Experience is good. Remember the saying - "There are old pilots and bold pilots - but there are no old bold pilots".

Well done to WCMnr! I'm sure all those years of cycling on the road mean he'll have much better roadsense than most who have just passed their test.

This is my worry. This is why I shall be worrying myself silly. This is why he too wants to do Pass Plus.

The benefits of cycling on hazard awareness when learning to drive was picked up on by his driving instructor. She made comment on how much better his hazard awareness was to the vast majority of learners on his first lesson - so he told her about his cycling. I'm hoping this holds him in good stead for the long term and that he doesn't get overconfident.

The new furniture was supposed to be delivered today. The *correct* table to go with the dining room furniture, instead of the wrong one delivered several weeks ago. Was promised delivery today. It hasn't happened. Why am I not surprised. Is crap customer service a Norfolk thing? It seems to happen a LOT in this part of the world. I am not a happy bunny and I may be about to get exceedingly stroppy with the retailer...

Sounds like he'll be fine Waffles . Don't worry - he'll pick up on it and then tense up when driving ;)

It seems to me that anybody wanting a driving license should already have done sufficient cycling to have built up the hazard awareness, road positioning etc etc. Indeed if I was in charge it would be the law
