Ta!

I feel that being a, ahem, serious cyclist... ahem, as well as having a driving licence for years certainly helped. The cycling with the awareness of being a vulnerable road user and road positioning, the general driving with being able to 'read' the traffic.

There were some young kids doing CBT today and TBH, althought they were initially quicker off the mark in terms of getting to grips with the basic workings of the scooter, the lack of being able to read traffic and lack of basic HC knowledge was *frightening* IMO.

Well done Waffles! So are you going to get a moped?

Yes indeed well done you.

*Clears throat and sings * "When she gets her moped out on the road she's gonna drive drive drive................"

A desert scene. Silence. A relentless sun beats down on the sand, almost whiting out the screen. Gradually the scene resolves into a horizon, shimmering in heat haze. An amorphous shape appears on the horizon, very slowly growing and growing until it can be perceived to be moving towards us, possibly an animal? Eventually it can be recognised as a human figure crawling. Details become visible: tousled hair, dirty skin, a drawn and haggard face that might be Arch's.

The apparition gets closer to the camera, and stares into the lens, before uttering a single word, in a hoarse, interrogative whisper.

Arch: Tea?

God it was hot today!
