Arch, Doll's houses tend to have very small doors, about one quarter of the size of this door. The fun of this will be making something out of something else that is incomplete. Until now, I did not know what sort of wood to use. I think it is a sample of very posh, expensive flooring. I think the Resource Centre will get some more, as there are a lot of DIY shops near them.

There was also some leaflet dispensers in cardboard, which would make excellent starting points for buildings for model railways. They had sort of sticky out bits at the base to make them more stable.

Today, I booked the date and the venue for my Civil Partnership next year.

July 15th at 4pm.

Now I'm lost. I have no idea what to do and organise it.

I've searched three suppliers, and can't find a dolls house bootscraper. I can't believe it! That's a gap in the market!

One day, when I have more space to play with, I'd love to make a tree trunk dolls house - cut from a real stump, the front sliced off and hinged back on, so that it opens to reveal lots of interconnected hollowed out 'rooms' - with all the furniture and stuff made from natural bits an pieces - acorn cup bowls and so on.... A bit Wind in the Willows.

Ah yes, Dolls' houses tend to be 1:12 scale at the largest.

A glance at the telly just showed someone drawing some curtains. Curtain rings? Too big? I agree, that making it out of odds and ends is much more fun.

I was driving along the A49 just north of Leominster today and there was a chap in a yellow jersey riding a large wheeled unicycle along the road.

Not seen that before. He was a bit wobbly at times being in the gutter but

Very stylish.

As a kid, the tartan I wore when doing highland dancing was ancient red fraser. If, however, I was going to wear a tartan now, I'd wear Sinclair, as that's the Scottish bit of me. I'd go for the Sinclair Hunting (Green) Ancient one.
