Taking the biscuit
On my paper round, many moons ago early on a Sunday morn, I had a paper snatched, by a Yorkshire terrier, so swiftly and silently that my knuckles jammed in the door. The disgruntled owner, woken by my frantically ringing the door bell, was shocked when he flung the door open only to have me fly into the hall still stuck in his letter box, which then had to be taken out of the door in order to remove my grazed hand.
I was lucky that the dog had been satisfied with just grabbing the paper.

Taking the biscuit
I did get a tetenus jab after being bitten on the nose by a friends dog tho.
To be fair, the nurse tried not to laugh.

Sun has gawn mate.. chilly this morning on the commute, but soon warmed up.. think that's it for the late summer sun now I reckon (not to put a damper on things). Thing is, with all the sun we have had recently have I'm going to have to mow the bleedin' garden lawn again this weekend

No rest for the wicked eh?

I'm a bit worried now with all this talk of dog bites. I was playing with the brother-in-law's dog last weekend and he nipped my nose (my fault for playing too rough with him [the dog, not the brother-in-law!!] ) and it bled a little. It's healed-up okay, so do I need to worry?

Might it be considered an improvement?

Afternoon! Home early, due to late finish last night after leafletting. Been leafletting and door knocking again today (letting oeple know that we're collecting more materials from next week), no dogs today, although one old chap who answered the door was wearing a shirt covered in very dubious stains. I think he might be a serial killer.

Another old guy was wearing a dressing gown, and said "I'm watching the international!" and took the leaflet and shut the door.

Anyway, tea? Just made a brew.
