I've just been having a very bizarre text conversation with my boss and his housemate (who we also work with), which ended up in the seggestion that I wear a yellow all-in-one lycra suit...

It's a long and complicated story that involves DEFRA and youtube....

Right, fully dosed up on Beechams and am feeling a little better for it.
Still won't be cycling for a few days though, early night i think.

For some reason I am feeling worse. Still got a very sore throat and a cough, but this evening I started sneezing again. Think I will try the hot water and whisky this evening.

With some more snow promised later this week, I decided to finish off any seasonal purchases. Now I think I will stay at home, warm and cosy, and try not to eat too much.

Mince pie for anyone? or toasted cheese sandwich?

Btw Ian, what is the best sort of cheese for toasted sandwiches?

Best sort of cheese? Well it has to be some seriously strong cheddar type. Slices, not grated. With a sprinkle of Tabasco Sauce.

Might try onion instead of tabasco. I like an onion and cheese sandwich.

Did it work? my all in one Beechams seems to have helped a bit, Was a little better today though I did feel a bit 'merry' at one point, there's more alcohol in there than i normally drink in a month

Cheddar cheese and Worcester sauce for me, though I can't remember the last time I had it.


Came home to find next doors cat fast asleep on my freshly washed clothes that I hadn't gotten around to putting away yet, little git. Nice hot bath and I'm now falling asleep

I found an amusing envelope in a recycling box today. Just a normal birthday card type envelope. THREE first class stamps on it, and written underneath in biro "FIRST CLASS PLEASE" underlined...

I wonder if it went first class, or second...

I've got a cheap dinner - there was some chilli left after a meeting at the centre yesterday and it needed using up, so I brought some home, and I'll bung it on some rice....

I have got some Onion Marmelade, as the lady in the delicatessen suggested it for making the gravy with the turkey crown. Not got the mature cheddar tho'.

The sore throat is much better, but now I have poorly dose, and still feel very tired. Never before have I had a cold that has lasted this long, more than two weeks now. sniff
