We kept our video for a while, but just used it to watch old videos by plugging it into the TV only and having no aerial going in to it.
I'll have a better look at mine tomorrow and explain properly how it is connected up, though it could all change if the new TV I'm looking at becomes a reality.

Yes, good idea to pm you about the dvd conundrum. When everyone comes back from their holiday, they do not want to read ten pages all about my tv viewing habits. I could "group" pm you and Night Train for the technical stuff.

Good idea about just plugging in the video when needed. I had not thought of that. The good thing about using the local shop is that they will come here and set the machine up. But I still need to make sure I get the right one with the right outputs, inputs, scarts, usbs, and thingummybobs.

Oh, DJing would be very helpful, I shall be far too busy being the hostess with the mostest, in between real social engagements. Actually, I must dash over to the party now, my hostess trolley has a flat tyre that needs patching.

Enjoyed the firework display on BBC1 very good. Got the new TV today so could watch it in all it's HD glory.

I was watching BBC Alba, lots of Scottish music. Some words are the same: silent and vibrating (as in mobile phone), -what did you think I meant. Also toyboy is the same word in Gaelic.

Partly because I haven't ridden for well over a week, but mostly as I need to retrieve the car from a pub car park.
